Ambuja Cements’ production for the first 10 months of the year rose by 2.1% to 17.24Mt, while dispatches were ahead by 1.9% to 17.2Mt. For the month of October, Ambuja Cements increased shipments by 1.7% to 1.78Mt, while the monthly production rose by 3.1% to 1.81Mt. Ambuja Cements' third-quarter cement deliveries climbed 7.6% to 4.69Mt, generating a turnover 15.4% higher at INR18.05bn (€267.2m/US$359m), an EBITDA 5.6% ahead at INR3.19bn (€39.55m) and a pre-tax profit advancing by 14.9% to INR2.55bn (€37.76m). A new 1.1Mta cement mill was commissioned at Bhatapara during the quarter. The sister company ACC Ltd increased cement deliveries for the 10 months by 12.9% to 19.76Mt, while production was up by 12.8% to 19.8Mt. ACC's cement production rose by 3% in October to 2.04Mt and deliveries were 2.6% higher at 1.97Mt.
