Cimpor


Cimpor has reached an agreement with the Brazilian company Camargo Corrêa Cementos to purchase 51% of the shares in Cimentos de Nacala of Mozambique, subject to government approval. Cimentos de Nacala has a grinding works with an annual capacity 0.35m tonnes and also owns limestone quarries. If allowed to go ahead, Cimpor would further enhance its leading position in the Mozambique cement market. Along with Votorantim, Camargo Corrêa is an important industrial shareholder in Cimpor.
