Votorantim Cimentos is investing a further EUR1.7m in the Toral de Los Vados cement works in Spain this year, having spent EUR1.8m there last year.

Clinker production at the works declined by some 10 per cent last year reflecting lower exports. with the total production also being off by 10 per cent to 0.60Mt. The tinvestments will fund environmental and health and safety improvements.
