PT Semen Indonesia - June 2016


Cement exports by Semen Indonesia (including Semen Padang and Semen Tonasa) fell by 21.3 per cent during May 2016 to 37,588t, compared to 47,751t in the same month last year, according to the Indonesian Cement Association. This took total exports for January-May to 133,497t, down by 27.5 per cent YoY. Domestic sales during May came in at 2.11Mt, up 6.7 per cent on the 1.98Mt recorded in May 2015. The January-May figure saw an increase of one per cent to 10.01Mt, compared to 9.91Mt in the same period in 2015. These latest figures put total sales by the company at 2.15Mt in May 2016, a YoY increase of 6.1 per cent, and 10.15Mt for January-May, up by 0.5 per cent.
