LafargeHolcim's underlying turnover for the first nine months amounted to CHF20,378m, a decline of 7.5 per cent while in euro terms there was a 9.2 per cent reduction to EUR18,848m. The Asia Pacific region generated 30.6 per cent of group turnover, marginally up from 30.3 per cent a year earlier, while Europe represented 26.3 per cent, up from 25.3 per cent. Latin America contributed 10.2 per cent against 11.1 per cent, North America 20.6 per cent against 19 per cent and Africa/Middle East 14.8 per cent against 15.7 per cent. Margins improved from 19.8 per cent to 20.7 per cent and the underlying operating EBITDA came off by 3.3 per cent to CHF4214m (EUR3898m) in Swiss franc terms, while it fell by 5.1 per cent when measured in euros. However, the net attributable profit advanced by 77.7 per cent to CHF1397m (EUR1292m).
