China’s economy is expected to stabilise in 2017 as domestic demand improves and infrastructure investment picks up. According to the World Bank, growth of 6.5 per cent is forecast for 2017, following the 6.7 per cent seen in 2016 – the lowest reading in three decades but still within the government’s target range.
