Dangote Cement - May 2017


Dangote Cement has reported record results for the first three months of 2017, driven primarily by higher prices. Group revenue for the quarter came in at NGN208.2bn (US$679.6m), compared to NGN140.5bn in the same period last year, a rise of 48.1 per cent. Total EBITDA over the same period also increased, up by 42.3 per cent from NGN72.4bn to NGN103bn. The results come despite the company seeing a 6.4 per cent drop in the total volume of cement sold over the period to 6.03Mt.
