China National Building Materials (CNBM) - February 2018

China National Building Materials (CNBM) has been named as one of the founding companies of the new Global Cement & Concrete Association (GCCA). The GCCA, which is made up of nine cement and concrete manufacturers, aims to develop and strengthen the contribution made by the cement and concrete industries to sustainable construction. Based in London, it intends to promote the development of durable and environmentally-conscious infrastructure at a global level, in collaboration with industry associations, architects and engineers.

GCCA’s other founding members are Cemex, CRH, Dangote, Eurocement, HeidelbergCement, LafargeHolcim, Taiheiyo and Votorantim, which, including CNBM, collectively account for 1046Mt of cement production capacity. Membership is reportedly open to any cement manufacturers around the world.
