LafargeHolcim - February 2018

The Indian LafargeHolcim subsidiary ACC Ltd reported a 14 per cent increase in cement deliveries in 2017 to 26.21Mt, a sharp reversal of the 2.7 per cent reduction seen in 2016, and the fourth quarter volume increase was 27 per cent to 6.923Mt. Ready-mixed concrete deliveries were up by 11.2 per cent to 2.88Mt, again an improvement on the 10.7 per cent rise seen a year earlier. Volumes are expected to show further advances during 2018 as the federal government spends more on infrastructure and affordable housing. The turnover advanced by 19.8 per cent to INR129.09bn (EUR1029.8m) and EBITDA rose by 29.4 per cent to INR19.12bn (EUR239.66m) while the pretax profit jumped 48 per cent to INR13.1bn (EUR163.54m) but the increase after tax was a little lower at 40.6 per cent.
