2017 was a “record year” for Dangote with revenues up 31 per cent YoY to NGN805.6bn (US$2243m) and EBITDA advancing by 50.9 per cent to NGN388.1bn. In Nigeria cement volumes fell 15.9 per cent, but the company’s Pan-Africa operations improved by 8.4 per cent YoY to 9.37Mt, taking total cement volumes for the year to 21.9Mt, a contraction of seven per cent compared to 2016.
