Course Overview

This six-week online course provides structured training in the selection, installation, operation and maintenance of cement-kiln refractory systems. Its four modules cover refractory fundamentals, rotary-kiln linings, static-plant linings and systematic performance improvement.

Across 21 technical lessons, 14 practical exercises and three quizzes, participants learn how to connect refractory properties and service conditions with real plant decisions. Lecture handouts, exercise material and further reading support approximately five hours of study per week.

How is CKR01 structured?

The course contains four online modules studied over six weeks, moving from refractory fundamentals through rotary and static linings to performance improvement.

Do I need previous refractory experience?

Previous plant experience is helpful but specialist refractory training is not essential. The course starts with core material properties and selection principles before progressing to application and improvement.

Are there practical exercises?

Yes. Fourteen exercises help you apply the material to lining selection, installation, performance records and the rotary and static sections of your own kiln system.
