Nepal’s Riddhi Siddhi Cement is planning to start commercial production at one of the country’s largest plants in Makawanpur within two months, as 80 per cent of the construction is now complete. Holcim Romania has inaugurated a new cement terminal which involved an investment of RON12.5m (US$3.1m). The new terminal in the town of Roman, in the northeastern country of Neamt, will supply cement to local clients mostly, Holcim said in a press release. With an area of 13,120m 2 , the terminal is connected to the railway network and has loading and unloading automatic equipment.
