ACC has released its consolidated financial results for the final quarter and full-year period ended 31 December 2017. Cement sales increased 14 per cent in 2017, to 26.21Mt from 22.99Mt of the previous year. Net sales reached INR129bn (US$2bn) in the full-year period, compared to INR107.7bn seen in 2016. The Indian LafargeHolcim subsidiary Ambuja Cement sold 17.09Mt of cement during the first half of 2017, a YoY increase of six per cent with the third quarter showing an 11.6 per cent rise to 5.02Mt. ACC Ltd of India, part of the LafargeHolcim group, yesterday released its 2016 Sustainability Report where its emissions show a reduction of 30 per cent from the 1990 baseline. ACC considers Telangana plant construction

ACC Ltd is considering setting up a cement plant in the southern Indian state of Telangana, a senior official from the LafargeHolcim company told local press. Speaking to reporters from the Telangana Today, Philip Mathew, chief manufacturing officer of ACC, said: “We have recently set up one plant in Chhattisgarh and the effort is stabilising it.
