Ukraine: Pushka Cement reports UAH5.8m loss in 2015

Kramatorsk-based Pushka Cement Plant in the Donetsk region of Ukraine has preliminarily reported loss of UAH5.835m (US$219,364) for 2015. The Eurocement Ukraine subsidiary reported a loss of UAH17.178m in 2014. The assets of the company made up UAH 70.195m, receivables UAH 53.927m and current liabilities UAH 0.111m.

Bamburi Cement’s profit jumped 50.4 per cent YoY to KES5.8bn (US$748m) in 2015 as both domestic and overseas sales saw growth. Operating expenses increased 29 per cent YoY to KES5.2bn. Ciments du Maroc sees rise in 2015 net profit

Ciments du Maroc, part of the Italcementi group, posted an 8.5 per cent rise in turnover to MAD3.73bn (US$376m) in 2015. Cement sales advanced 1.2 per cent while ready-mix concrete and aggregate sales increased by 38 and 30 per cent, respectively. The company’s operating result improved by 14.8 per cent to MAD1.17bn and net profit was up 34.5 per cent to MAD1.02bn.

Vicat's turnover improved by 1.5 per cent in 2015 to EUR2458m, which translates into an underlying decline of 4.4 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
