Vietnam’s export volumes up 20% YoY

In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam earned US$563.15 from exporting 13.1Mt of clinker and cement, up 24 and 20.4 per cent in value and volume terms, respectively.  Indonesia, Taiwan and Malaysia were the top importers of Vietnamese exports during the period, according to figures from the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade. Heracles profit lifted by exports, demand pick up

Greece-based Heracles General Cement Co reported a 9.3 per cent YoY increase in sales for the first half of 2014 to EUR123.4m. Pakistan's export earnings down by one-third

During the first month of the new Pakistan fiscal, cement exports declined by 30.31 per cent YoY to 557,159t, with shipments to Afghanistan falling significantly. In revenue terms, exports were down by 33.68 per cent to US$32.59m during the same month, according to the latest data from Pakistan’s Bureau of Statistics. Peru cement sales fall 3.9% in July

Cement dispatches in Peru reached 845,907t in July, representing a 3.9 per cent decline YoY, according to Asocem, the country's cement producers' association. In the year to date, the latest figures reflect a 0.11 per cent increase YoY while output in domestic cement plants edged up 0.66 per cent to nearly 6Mt. Exports in the first seven months were up 0.64 per cent, surpassing the 5.8Mt mark.

Iran exported approximately 6.62Mt of cement and clinker in the first four months of the current Iranian year (21 March - 22 July 2014), a cement industry official has said. Pakistan cement dispatches during the first month of the new fiscal (FY14-15) proved disappointing with both domestic and export sales registering YoY declines. Total sales during July 2014 fell 14.12 per cent to 2.23Mt compared to 2.6Mt, latest data from the Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) shows. Vietnam sales up 8% in first seven months

Vietnam sold 37Mt of cement in the first seven months of this year, up eight per cent from a year ago and fulfilling 59.75 per cent of the whole-year target, the country's Ministry of Construction said. Argentina's July cement demand up 7.2% MoM

In July 2014, Argentina's cement market required 949,904t of cement (including imports), 7.2 per cent more than in June, but registering a 5.4 per cent YoY fall. The country's cement producers delivered 967,752t to domestic and overseas markets, which represents a MoM increase of 7.6 per cent. When compared with July 2013, however, a 4.7 per cent drop was noted.

Algeria's cement imports have increased by 30 per cent to US$283.9m in 1H14, according to the country's Customs Office.
