Sanghi Cements is considering setting up a floating terminal at Kochi Port as part of expanding its coastal movements to south Indian markets. Jaiprakash Associates has decided to sell its entire 74 per cent stake in Bhilai Jaypee Cement to Orient Cement for INR14,500m (US$226.6m), while raising another up to INR20,000m by issuing securities. Pakistan's cement export revenue during July 2017 increased by 25.02 per cent compared to the previous month but declined by 0.94 per cent on YoY basis, according to data released by the country's Federal Bureau of Statistics.   A breakdown of the figures reveals that the country exported 428,489t of cement with revenues of US$22.51m in July 2017 compared to 349,430t at US$18.01m in June, 2017. India’s Environmental Pollution Control Authority (EPCA) is determined to get a ban on petcoke import, although the ban would not apply to the cement industry, according to Sunita Narain, green activist and member of the EPCA.
