Ulyanovskcement output rises in first 11 months, Russia

Ulyanovskcement, part of the Eurocement Group, produced 1.726Mt of cement and 1.45Mt of clinker in the first 11 months of the year, representing a four and five per cent increase on the same period of 2012, respectively. KHD subsidiary wins Holcim order, Russia

Volskcement OJSC Russia (Holcim Group) has placed an order with Zementanlagenbau GmbH Dessau (ZAB), a subsidiary of KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG (KHD), to construct a production line in the Volsk cement factory. The scope of the contract, with an order value of over EUR77m, comprising engineering and the delivery of equipment. The project is scheduled to run until the end of 2016.

Kolomna plant hits production highs, Russia

Holcim’s Kolomna plant in Russia produced 1Mta of clinker for the first time in 2013 on the new production line on November 24 at 3.00am. The company attributed the achievements to the coordinated efforts of production staff as well as maintenance and support services. In July this year, the company reached another significant high, having produced a record monthly volume of grey cement of 239,885t.

Russian cement unloader to be supplied by Cargotec

UK-based TAD Enterprises Ltd has signed a contract with Cargotec for a Siwertell 5 000 S mobile unloader for cement-handling operations in the Black Sea port of Yeysk, south of Rostov, in Russia. JSC Ulyanovskcement, part of Russia’s Eurocement group, has shown a steady increase in all of its performance indicators during the first eight months of this year.
