The inauguration of a new 6000tpd production line saw Hongshi Shivam enter the Nepalese cement market. Plans for a second 6000tpd line are already being made. Hongshi Group, one of the joint venture partners, takes us through the project. By Hongshi Group, China.

Hongshi Shivam Cement Pvt Ltd is a 70:30 joint venture established by Hongshi Group of China (70 per cent) and Shivam Cement of Nepal. The venture represents a total investment of US$360m and is considered a key project for the Hongshi Group, which will supply cement to China’s Belt and Road Initiatives.
