A new line for FANCESA

Bolivian cement producer FANCESA is expanding its cement capacity with a new line at its Cal Orck’o site. With the new project, the company plans to consolidate its domestic leadership position as well as improve operational efficiency of the plant near Sucre.

Bolivian cement producer FANCESA operates a cement plant with a clinker capacity of 2800tpd at Cal Orck’o, near Sucre. The company is currently expanding the facility with a 2100tpd (0.693Mta – clinker) line with equipment ranging from limestone crushers to cement dispatch facilities. The location for this new line was chosen after considering a range of factors, including:
• availability of raw materials such as limestone, clay, sand, iron and gypsum
• services (such as energy, water and communications)
• synergy with the current plant
• transport links
• markets
• environmental factors
• social aspects
• socio-economic development.
