To meet Argentina’s growing need for sustainably-produced cement, Cementos Avellaneda is expanding its San Luis cement plant in La Calera with a new 2000tpd clinker line. With 1Mta of cement capacity, the project is aimed at better serving the company’s markets while improving the plant’s competitiveness and environmental performance. A joint venture between Cementos Molins and Votorantim Cimentos, Argentina-based Cementos Avellaneda celebrated its centenary earlier this year, an achievement based on a strict environmental performance policy and continuous investment in the long-term sustainability of all its operations.
