Rüdersdorf: sustainability in action

As part of its global Future in Action strategy, CEMEX has set a goal of producing CO2-neutral cement at its Rüdersdorf cement plant in Germany from 2030. Technological learnings derived from this flagship project will be shared with the company’s portfolio of cement plants and adapted to local conditions to help the company achieve carbon neutrality at the global level. Without a doubt, sustainability and climate action are major priorities for the cement industry. Most of the key players are making it the focus of their innovation and development efforts, and this is absolutely the right thing to do. Climate change is the greatest threat facing humankind and we must all acknowledge our role in this, and take considered action to dramatically reduce our emissions, lessen our impact on the environment and preserve our planet for future generations.
