The art of separate grinding

The reduction of the clinker-to-cement ratio is one of the key strategies to decarbonise cement production. The use of vertical roller mills (VRMs) and separate material grinding systems can reduce this ratio by 10-15 per cent, according to the Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute. In this article the institute highlights the practice’s achievements at Lan Zhou Zhushi Cement in China. by Xin Du, Di Liu, Song Hua, Lingyun Peng, Lingyan Kong and Jing Li, Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute Co Ltd, China.
