Udaipur Cement Works Ltd (UCWL) , part of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd , has inaugurated cement mill IV at its Dabok plant in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. The new mill increases cement capacity at the integrated plant from 2.2Mta to 4.7Mta and is expected to improve efficiency, productivity and product quality. Polpaico suspends Quilicura grinding operations

Chile-based Cemento Polpaico will temporarily suspend operations at its grinding plant in Quilicura and transfer these to the Cerro Blanco plant in Til Til. JK Lakshmi Cement to invest INR2.25bn in Surat expansion

JK Lakshmi Cement announced it will be spending INR2.25bn (US$27m) to expand its Surat plant in Gujarat, India. Cement capacity at the plant will be increased by 1.35Mta by setting up an additional grinding unit, the company said. The project is expected to be completed within two years and will see the doubling of existing capacity. It will be financed through a mix of term loans and internal accruals.

Australian construction materials supplier Hallett Construction Materials Pty Ltd has award the contract for a complete grinding circuit at its Port Augusta cement plant in South Australia to Christian Pfeiffer. The grinding system includes a 5.0m diameter x 16.25m ball mill and a QDK T 250-Z high-efficiency sepator as core equipment, along with auxiliary equipment and conveying systems.
