BGFIBank Cameroon has agreed to provide XAF23bn (US$41m) in financing for Atlantic Group subsidiary SC CAM’s proposed cement plant at Kribi, Cameroon.

The project is designed to grind imported clinker and produce up to 1Mta of cement. Its location near the Port of Kribi is expected to support raw-material imports and the distribution of finished cement within Cameroon and potentially to neighbouring markets in the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC).

The financing represents part of the investment required for the development and should not be interpreted as the plant’s total cost. A revised investment agreement for the project was approved earlier in 2026.
