Raw Meal PSD

What should be the optimum raw meal PSD to avoid excess dust losses from preheater to the optimum level of maximum 5%? I would like to know the  following optimum parameters,

1.Less than 5 micron particle optimum value.

2.Less than 20 & 45 micron optimum value.

3.Optimum position parameter of R-R graph.

4.Optimum slope ( n ) of R-R graph.

Re: Raw Meal PSD

The optimum will always be kiln feed and preheater specific. Sometimes the kiln feed must be ground finer to achieve combination in the kiln (white cement for example). Other times with easy to combine materials the kiln feed can be much coarser. Typical RR parameters for grey kiln feed are slope 1 to 1.6 and position parameter 35 to 45 microns.
