Dear friends,

There are generally two reasons for process build-ups problem in any kiln,first is due to sulfur cycle and second is alkali cycle.Which process build-ups is difficult to clean in pyroprocessing section?

Sulphur forms hard coating.To remiove this will be harder than chlorine coating.

I agree that sulphur is harder. But the bottom line is the location of the build-up. No matter wether it is soft or hard as long as you cannot reach it, it would be very difficult. That is why, we normally have to study the locations of the build up and do installation of airblasters / poking holes / cardox on strategic places.
