Natural gas has a higher hydrogen content than other fuels, therefore the volume of exhaust gases produced is higher.

Refer to section 8.07 , 9.07 and 13.13 Page 85,86 and 150 from Cement Manufacturers Handbook by peray

or Refer to Stiochiometry third edition (SI Units) By B I Bhatt And S M Vohra Page 406 Example 7.4 gives a good view for your Issue (of course this needs to be interpreted)
