DEAR ALL:

our plant on shut down and we checked TAD then we found some materials was there ? iam asking is this material   is normal ?

Design of TAD?

Any settling chamber arrangement is there?Any Damper?

Any long bend in the calciner end?

1)the material accumulated on TAD thro all pipe from kiln side up to calciner. 2)with damper . 3)yes there long bend in end of TAD near calciner.4) no settling chamber

Have you calculated the velocity inside the TAD?It should be Greater than 25 m/sec.If the carrying velocity is less than the settling velocity the material will get accumulate.what is the inclination of your TAD?TAD is located towards the kiln rotation or opposite to the kiln rotation?Any variation with the TAD temperature?What is the condition of the Damper in the stoppage inspection?Any Control available over the Damper?
