Re: Chlorides in Finished Cement

Hello CCC,

I presume you have analysed the limestone fines?

Do you add clinker/kiln dust of any sort to your cement?

If all of your inputs into cement have been tested, and are below 0.06% the only explanation is that there is an error in the chloride content of one or more of the inputs and/or the chloride content of the cement itself.

You could confirm this by getting samples of your cement and all the cement input materials tested by an independent laboratory (or two).

Regards,

Ted.

If every in-put has been analysed and the results are o.k ,then following more to checked=

1 If you are spraying water on clinker at any stage or spraying water in mill then chlorides present in water should be checked.

2  Material of construction of G.M. and lining plates be analysed for source of chlorides.
