kiln heating up

Dear all:

realy i want to know in the kiln heat up we need to start PH fan from starting time of firing? and orday we hve bag house fan and fresh air damper

Dear Elwathig,

It is not necessary to start PH fan for kiln heat up. I worked on one plant where we use to start PH fan just at the time of taking feed. But now a days, in modern kilns, PH fan is normally started with 10% speed from startup of firing.
