Dear Dilip,

Some points to reduce heat consumption.

  • Reduce heat of formation.
  • Increase liquid phase.
  • Optimize your cooler.
  • Reduce infiltration air mainly above kiln inlet.
  • Reduce heat loss by radiation.
  • If process permit reduce primary air & transport air.
  • Burner pipe optimization
  • If possible increase cooling zone in kiln.
  • Reduce excess air at kiln backend.
