dear mr shah,

kiln feed depends upon kiln filling with various parameters of kiln design. u can fill only 13% max raw meal.

Hello every one

what could be the minimum kiln feed with the safe refractory life.  

With respect to Safe refractory life there could be two perceptions

1. Thermal loading of burning zone, Gcal/hr.m2

2. burning zone degree filling, % and Volumetric loading tpd/m3

Thermal loading and burning zone filling degree, depends on kiln geometry and slope. generally for design considerations thermal loading is limited to 5.5 Gcal/hr.m2 and Burning zone Degree filling to 15% and Volumetric loading to 5.0 - 5.5 tpd/m3. these values depends on the burnability of material. Above said values can easily violated if burnability index reads "Very Easy"
