A clinker cooler manufacturer recenlty said: "The clinker cooler is the most important piece of equipment in determining the energy consumption of the entire kiln line, as it delivers recuperated heat, from the hot clinker leaving the kiln, back to the production process." Do you agree?

Yes,
Sp. heat consumption in kiln section depending upon cooler thermal effeciency and sp. air Nm3/ kg of clinker . If less sp. air (1.64 to 1.85 nm3/kg cl).thermal efficiency in between (72 - 84) % and sp. power of cooler section( 3.0 to 3.5 ) kwh/ t cl.
