Kiln Nose Ring fan

Dear All

What is the use of a nose ring fan at kiln outlet?

is it required to cool the outlet seal plates and /or to cool the kiln outlet tip cast plates from back side?

The air delivered by the nose ring fan goes inside the grate cooler or reverts back. In my openion it air gets inside the cooler & reduces the secondary air temp.

In my openion nose ring fan is not required for kiln system.

Evenif we do not have nose ring fan kiln outlet tip cast plates will be safe by the castable done on the plates.

What is the norm for the specification of a nose ring fan?
