Hello,

The gap between the grinding bath & crusher blowbars (not rotor) measures usually through the inspection window and by using measuring scale. Adjust the gap once and check the gap in every preventive maintenance or when you have oversize product, no need to adjust the gap online and in continuous base!

      But my point to control over size same time when happen. Not to be wait for weekly maintenance.

      If we can or can not have such a technology for online measuring and controling for avoid over size product for high capacity pile ( 400000 mt ) for getting constant output with sp. power  of  VRM

Hello GKS,

We are also using exactly the same method as described by Nael.

There is a patent for an online gap measurement and adjustment method for rotary cone crushers,  but I have never heard of any method for on-line adjustment of the gap in an impact crusher. Even if you could measure the gap and make online adjustments hydraulically, the solution to oversize material often involves turning or replacing the blowbars rather than adjusting the gap, Which means that a lot of the time you have to shut down the crusher to solve the oversize problem anyway.
