Shell Radiation

Dear Experts,

We had new refractory lining but just after the feeding we are facing high shell temperatures at 25-29 M and the temperature is more than 400 Deg.C. we install spinal bricks in this area. this zone is almost the upper transition zone. out kiln length is 60 M.What is recomended for shell cooling fan arrangement  along the kiln rotation or opposit to the kiln rotation.

re Shell Radiation

Hello,

Better cooling efficiency is obtained if the fans are directed upwards against the shell as it rotates downwards into the forced air flow. The aim is to strip off the layer of hot air which surrounds the surface of the shell.

Regards,

Ted.
