Lafarge executive, Ronald Greg Sheardown, 45, has been identified as the man who died while heli-skiiing in British Columbia, Canada, according to local reports. The Canadian father of three was in a group of 11 skiers at Revelstoke when the avalanche struck.

Mr Sheardown had recently been promoted to chief executive officer for Lafarge’s operations covering several Persian Gulf countries. He was to take up the new position in early 2012.
