Gorazdze breaks cement production record

Gorazdze will produce over 4.3Mt of cement in 2011, the best result in history, said Gorazdze Cement Deputy Head Wieslaw Adamczyk.

He underlines that 2011 has been very good for the whole sector, with its total production output settling at 17.42Mt after the first 11 months of the year. This figure is already higher than the annual output for 2008, which amounted to 16.95Mt and until 2011 had been the best result since the economic transformation in 1989. According to estimates, the respective figure for this year is to reach 18.2-3Mt.

Adamczyk forecasts that the domestic construction market will be the fastest-developing sector of the Polish economy in 2012, which is certainly good news for cement producers. "For this reason, we expect our production output for the next year to be similar to that for 2011," he says.
