UltraTech to set up cement unit in West Bengal, India
UltraTech Cement Ltd proposes to set up a cement plant at Dankuni in Hoogly district, West Bengal. The project which would require about 103 acre land for the project, has received the clearance from the West Bengal Pollution Control Board.
The plant would have capacity to manufacture 6,000tpd of Portland Pozzolona cement. The plant would require 4000-4500tpd of clinker, 1350-1900t fly ash and 280- 350t gypsum daily which would be sourced from UltraTech units at Hirmi and Rawan in Chhattisgarh and Tadpatri in Andhra Pradesh. Power would be sourced from the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd. Published under Cement News
