Cement dispatches in the Peruvian market amounted to 6.74Mt from January to October 2011, 1.7% more than recorded in the same period in 2010 (6.63Mt), according to the Asociación de Productores de Cemento (Asocem).


During that period cement production stood at 6,91Mt, representing an increase of 1.74% YoY (6.79Mt).


In the first 10 months of the year, exports reached 48,194t of cement, up a significant 478.43% over the same period of 2010, when they was 8332t.


Total cement shipments (domestic sales plus exports) in the first 10 months of 2011 totaled 6.79Mt, an increase of 2.30% over the same period of 2010, (6.64Mt).
