CeMAP: focus on improving cement standards, Philippines
12 October 2011

The Cement Manufacturers’ Association of the Philippines (CeMAP) has taken a leadership role in the strict implementation and improvement of cement standards, which is part of CeMAP’s sustained efforts to assure the quality of locally-produced cement that meets global standards.

“CeMAP wants both local and imported cement to comply with global standards,” said CeMAP President Ernesto Ordonez. “In guaranteeing high quality cement, we are safeguarding the safety and security of end-users, people who use cement in their homes, office workers, and even the road users.”

“We are assured of public safety and security in terms of earthquake-resistant homes, buildings, and infrastructure,” Ordonez added.
