Lafarge announced the opening of a development laboratory for sustainable construction in Chongqing (China). In addition the group has signed a strategic alliance with Chongqing University.



Located at Lafarge Shui On’s Nanshan factory in Chongqing, the development lab is the first of its kind opened by Lafarge in the world and is an offshoot of Lafarge’s R&D center near Lyon. The company’s aim is to develop new products and advanced building materials solutions to Chinese customers, using local materials.
