The award was presented by Dr Noriaki Kano, honorary chairman of the Asian Network for Quality (ANQ). Kano is a recognised master of TQM.
The Ishikawa-Kano Award, organised by ANQ, is granted to a person who has made substantial contributions to the advancement of theories and practices of quality management in the Asia-Pacific region.
