Indonesia’s cement sales fell 0.3 per cent in August from a year ago due to the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr festive season, data from the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) showed on Wednesday.

Cement sales volumes in August slipped to 3,603,234t from 3,615,181t last year, Urip Trimuryono, chairman of the association, told Reuters.

Sales rose 17 per cent YoY in July.
