Preliminary data and market estimates show that domestic cement sales in Brazil between the January-August 2011 period reached 41.4Mt, up 7.6 per cent on the same period of 2010.

August 2011 sales were up 7.3 per cent YoY to 5.8Mt.

For the 12 months between September 2010-August 2011, sales reached 62.61 per cent, up 9.6 per cent over the September 2009-August 2010 period.
