Cimpor has opened a cement mill at its Matola operation that will almost double capacity, Cimentos de Mocambique said.

The mill has capacity to produce 600,000tpa, taking the Matola plants potential output to 1.3Mta, the Lisbon-based company said in a statement published on its website today. The plant cost EUR18m, it said.
