Recent data from the Cement and Concrete Institute of South Africa shows that sales for August 2011 totaled 1.01Mt compared to 0.97Mt in 2010, representing a an increase of 4.6%.



Year to-date sales stand at 7.18Mt, up 0.6 per cent YoY from 7.14Mt from the same period of 2010. The moving annual total (12 months to August 2011) was 10.9Mt against 11.3Mt, representing a YoY YoY contraction of 1.6 per cent (against 11.09Mt).
