Tunisian cement producers Ciments de Bizerte among other firms, will import 200,000t of cement  to supply the local market which is currently shortages and is being sold in the black market at high prices.

Ciments de Bizerte has already launched an international tender to import the quantity. The state-owned company, produces 0.9Mt of clinker which is expected to reach 1.35Mt after the completion of its expansion project.
