Ambuja Cements Ltd , India’s No. 3 cement maker, said on Friday shipments in August rose 2.7 per cent from a year ago to 1.51Mt.

The company, in which Holcim about 50.01 per cent, said production in August rose to 1.52Mt from 1.41Mt a year earlier.
