Preliminary data and market estimates show that domestic cement sales in Brazil between the January-July 2011 period were 35.6Mt, up 7.6 per cent on the same period of 2010.

In July alone, sales stood at 5.5Mt, representing an increase of 5.6 per cent on July 2010.

For the 12 months between August 2010-July 2011, sales reached 61.6 per cent, up 10.4 per cent over the August 2009-July 2010 period.
